decisions...

After much deliberation I've finally come to the conclusion that I need to get out. Out of this small town, take my first steps towards big city life. It’s something I've always wanted to do – move to the city, get a social life and a job that pays me enough to support myself and save up to buy my own place. My home-town is a very small mainly farming community(about 2500 people spread out over a large area), if I move to a capital straight up I’m pretty sure it would eat me alive and I’m not sure I’m confident enough to go there yet. It’s a scary thought... No, I’ll start off somewhere with a bit less size to it, I’ll move to a small city of about 1 million that’s not too far away, stay there a while then graduate to the capital. I need to get out of here: ex-fiancĂ©e won’t leave me alone, not happy working where I am, none of my friends live here anymore, I’m so bored, bored, bored of this boring, mundane life!!! I want to live in lots of places and go travelling and see amazing sights, meet people and experience different cultures. In this country you can drive for 20 hours and still hear the same accent and the people are the same, I want so much more than that. A girl I’m friends with S is living where I want to move to so I might ask if I can stay with her for a few days until I get sorted with a room of my own.

Went out Saturday night with a group of friends, actually they’re more like acquaintances as nobody I’m close to lives around here anymore. They are all younger than me but I look younger than all of them which is a bit strange. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, it was ok, then went to one of the three pubs in our town, the owner has tapped into the bored youth around here and puts on a band on every other Saturday night. The band was good too, I went to school with the drummer he was a cutie back then and they played good music, but I liked the dance music they put on in the breaks. I think this puppy is gonna go clubbing a LOT when she gets to the city!

Kissed a cute boy that night too, win! Can’t wait to get to the city though, the guys are much better looking there. Didn’t drink except for one wine, I prefer to drive as my parents live 15 minutes drive from both the towns nearby and you just can’t get taxi’s in a small place like this, but that’s ok I wasn’t hung over at all yesterday which is good cos I had to work, yuck!
